Before your session

Within the next few days you will receive an email with your client portal link.  In your client portal you will find a few important items…

  • The first of which will be a Contract to be signed.  This contract will lay out what has been promised to you, and ensure that you receive it!  It will also explain items such as cancellation, rescheduling, delivery of images, etc.

  • You will also find a Model Release Form.  I am always proud to share the images I take of the wonderful people and families I work with.  This form states that you will allow me to share the images taken of you and your family members on my social media accounts, website, and possibly other marketing items.  Please let me know if there are any issues with sharing your images. I know and understand there are some circumstances in which it is inappropriate to share the images for the sake of privacy.

  • The third item will be an updated invoice reflecting your paid retainer and the remaining balance.  Please note that the remaining balance will be due prior to your session. You can pay your balance directly through your invoice.  If you plan to pay for your session with check or cash on the day of, please let me know ahead of time.

  • Lastly, you will find a questionnaire.  This is where you can share any thoughts or ideas you have for your session, and it will help me in planning!

Two weeks out from your session, I will send an email to discuss timing and location for your session.  It is helpful if you can fill out the questionnaire before so that I can suggest locations that will work best for capturing the story you want to tell.

The week of your session, I will check in to see if you have any questions, confirm the time and location, and discuss alternatives if it’s looking like the weather won’t be cooperating.

On the day of your session, feel free to call or text me if anything comes up, but otherwise we will have fun capturing some beautiful moments.  My cell... 317-410-4835!

During your session

At your session, we’ll spend a few minutes getting to know one another!  I know acting as a model can be a bit nerve wracking, but I want to make sure you feel comfortable and know what to expect.  One of the things that I’ll repeat the most is to look at each other, and not at the camera. I will set you up in poses, and direct you with little tasks, such as “give the kiddos a kiss” or “tickle mom and dad”.  The most important thing you all can do throughout your session is to just enjoy being with each other and TRY to forget I’m there!

We will do whole family shots and a variety of combinations.  If there is anything special that you want captured, please be sure to mention this on your questionnaire.

After your session

2-3 weeks after your session, you will receive your private online gallery.  You will have 1 month to access the gallery. Within this month you can download all of the gallery images from your session. 

6-8 weeks after your session, expect to receive a little surprise on your doorstep and enjoy your beautiful images in an album for years to come!
